This Gnarled Specimen Olive Tree (Olea europaea) stands 140–160cm tall with a heavily gnarled 30–40cm trunk girth and an estimated age of 18–25 years, supplied in a 42L pot. Every trunk is unique — twisted, weathered and knobbly — exactly like the centuries-old trees you see in Tuscany and Provence, but only 15–25 years old and perfectly hardy in the UK. To explore more heritage specimens, browse our plants and trees range or the full olive tree collection at Palm and Olive, and read our Comprehensive Guide to Olive Tree Care for the full seasonal calendar.

Hand-selected for the most dramatic bark character and thickest possible girth (30–40 cm), these trees deliver jaw-dropping impact the day they arrive. The dense, silvery evergreen head sits on a short, sculpted clear stem, making them perfect for flanking doorways, framing steps or as a single centrepiece on a gravel courtyard.

• Extreme “ancient” trunk character – no two are ever the same

• Total height 140–160 cm (including decorative terracotta-look pot)

• Frost hardy to −12 °C to −15 °C once established

• Regularly produces edible olives in the UK

• Evergreen, drought-tolerant and almost zero maintenance

• Delivered in premium 42L decorative bowl (ready to display instantly)

If you want the authentic, weathered, Instagram-worthy olive tree that makes neighbours jealous, this is it. Very limited numbers each season — they always sell out first.
