The 70L Extra Thick Trunk Olive Tree (Olea europaea) stands 180–220cm tall with an extra-thick trunk, a 90–100cm clear stem, and a premium bushy, rounded canopy, supplied in a 70L pot. As you can see from our genuine nursery photography, this specimen-grade tree stands beautifully in proportion, featuring an exceptionally sturdy, thick trunk that clean-stems into a vibrant, densely packed, rounded head of classic silver-green foliage.

For further advice, see our guide, Everything You Need to Know About Olive Trees in the UK.

While standard commercial olive trees at this height tend to have thin, fragile stalks, our hand-selected 70-litre specimens are older and slower-grown. This guarantees an established, chunky bark profile that brings instant rustic character and architectural structure to British gardens. It is the absolute perfect height to make a premium statement without overwhelming your space—ideal for anchoring a sunny courtyard terrace, placing as a solo lawn specimen, or styling as a symmetrical pair to frame a doorway or driveway entrance.

At Palm and Olive, we pride ourselves on sourcing sustainably, acclimatizing every single specimen to UK weather conditions at our rural site, and offering completely free delivery to make upgrading your home entirely seamless. If you are designing a full garden overhaul or searching for a specific size to complete your design, explore our full curated selection of premium options on our main Olive Trees collection page, or browse our broader inventory of high-end plants and trees.

    The premium bushy.

Wow! What a tree. Premium condition and will live me out- and the grandchildren we laugh. What a specimen; thick and lush . Both trees are on the front patio and it enhances the bungalow no end. Neighbours stop to praise the trees and enquire where we purchased them from. You do see them up North more now but they are rangy, schlocky specimens- not like ours. They are part of our family and at Christmas we shall spoil them by dressing and lighting them to enhance our frontage. Pure joy.
